Got out at the strike of noon. The weather couldn't have been better! I started out with a brisk pace. Making it to the top of WF-The in about 11 minutes. I stopped to change my camera mode and check my Cell Phone coverage, now that it has the proper AT&T SIM. Just as I was about to make the descent to Keene, there was a truck that I let pass by. I ended up catching it and he pulled over for me! lol, so I passed him and upped the pace a bit as to keep him from tail-gating. As an experiment, I tried 2 different methods of descending. One, in the hoods, while pedaling modestly. And the other method, in a full tuck. Turns out the full tuck is the faster of the two. But, riding on the hoods provides a better warmup. Since I had the truck behind, I stayed with the full tuck as long as I could. When I made it to the bottom, I checked my Cell Phone one more time, changed the Gopro camera mode and started the ascent. My legs felt real good today, I think the weather was a big factor. I did the entire ascent in good tempo with one good dig at the monument kicker and another over the summit. Ailments... my right hand, numbness. it lingered about every 10 minutes or so. I had to loosen it up to prevent any escalation. My balance was good. Concentration was also good. Between the two, I'd give them an 8 out of 10. The treat of the day was the descent from the top of W-F-T, to Weston. I almost hit 40mph. I was in the hoods. Perhaps if I got in the drops, I could have eclipsed 40. Until next time! Other notes, I saw 2-3 red tail hawks, and a wood-pecker.
