Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It’s a typical spring day in Tehachapi. Winds from the North West, in the 60’s. I wore knees, arms, and a thick base layer. I brought my head cap for good measure, but ended up not using it. The legs felt average to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. So, I was on high alert. More of the same to the summit. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover. I let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. It was mostly safe with minimal traffic from behind. After making it to the base, I made my way to SS through the farmlands. It was the usual trek. I made my way around the backside. I put in a good sprint that brought my speed upwards of 35 MPH. I tucked the rest of the way down approaching 40 MPH. Definitely a treat. I stopped at the local park to take a quick BIO. Shortly after, I hopped back on the bike and continued. I made it to the tunnel in about 1:08-ish hours. I zipped through town and made my way back through the farmlands. I held moderate tempo most of the way. They deployed some porta-potties on Pellisier. So, I made a mental note for that for future rides. I made it to Boss Hogs in 1:38 hours. So, not so good on time. When I arrived at the base of the last climb, I decided to feed as I was getting some hunger signs. I fed a Clif Bar. After that, I made my way up the mountain. My legs felt a bit heavy from stopping and the fatigue of riding. I let the climbing legs settle in. I kept the momentum going over the top. I stopped once more to mix a batch of sport drink. (I brought an extra bottle of water and some Power Bar powder). From there, I made my way to Route 202. Route 202 had some minor traffic mitigation. After reaching OTR, it was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. Some impatience, minimal gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some hand soreness, the knees were a bit tender but never escalated. Nutrition was good. I fed a Clif bar and that helped the hunger signs. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw about 5 cyclists today.
