The weather is in the 60’s, winds from the North West. I wore arms and a thick base layer. The legs were a bit heavy to start, so I played it by ear. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top but had some matches left over. The Alpine Forest climb was more enjoyable as is always. The minutes went by quick as did the land marks. I was near max going over the top. I zipped around the backside, reaching 42 MPH on one of the dips. I made my way to the summit of Banducci and took a few moments to recover. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. The descent off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe. There was a car from behind, so I was looking back every few moments. I decided against adding the Buffalo Run, so I headed back from there. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and Weston and shut it down at the top.
Concentration was good. I was a bit discouraged feeling a bit heavy, but I got better as the ride went well and that helped the morale. I had few lapses and minimal gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the usual hand numbness. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw one cyclist on his way back as I was just starting the ride.
