It’s getting warmer. I mangaged to get up early enough for a bike ride. I chose to go to Keene. The right knee continues to be slightly sore. It took till I reached the end of the block for it to subside enough to not notice it. I made it to the summit of the descent in good average time. I cruised the downhill, soft-pedaling most of the time. I stopped once to take a video of a train passing through the loop. There was an opposing train on its way down, but it took too long to get there, so got back on the road without further delay. It was getting warm and I’m not yet acclimated to the heat. Nonetheless, I made it to the base of the climb. I checked my saddle bag and then headed up the mountain. The first half was the worst. I had to hold myself back as the heat was bearing down on me. After reaching the second dip, I was feeling better. From there, the landmarks went quick. I kept my momentum going over the top. After making it to the summit, I was able to relax a bit and then made my way back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good for the most part. I was a bit impatient on the descent to Keene. I was feeling a bit of heat nausea, so I was doing my best to stay focused. Other than that, there were minimal lapses and no signs of gremlins. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink and some water. Aliments, the right knee continues to hint on soreness. It subsided after half a mile. It was hinting on soreness on parts of the climb, but never escalated. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
