The weather is a bit on the warm side, but the air temperature is on the cool side. Excellent time to get out. The right knee is still hinting on soreness, but is doing better. It feels normal after 5 minutes into my rides. I made it to the summit of OTR in average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The Alpine forest was a bit more relaxing. The landmarks went quick. Before I knew it, I was at the speed bumps. I kept my momentum going to the top. I was near max when I got there. I zipped around the backside. Reaching 40 MPH on the downhill. I made my way to the summit of Banducci. Once there, I took a few moments to recover and then headed back down the mountain. There was some traffic from behind. So, I had to let them by as I slowed down and stayed to the right. Descending off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe. There was some traffic from behind. I tried not to slow down too much. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I was in the zone most of the time. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, the usual hand soreness. Shaking them once in a while did the trick. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink. Gear worked flawlessly. I noticed my left heel was chafing against the chainstay, so I will have to adjust the cleat’s toe in/out setting. Other notes, no cyclist today.
