On a bright, cold winters morning ten loiterers left Uxbridge via Chandlers Hill to Iver Heath. Turning down Bangors Road, South, Norwood Lane, and Swallow Street we made our way across to Billet Lane and onto and through Trenches Farm Caravan Site. We the continued on to elevenses at The Red Lion, Langley Marish.
We left The Red Lion and made our way through the streets of Langley to cross the A4 and M4 by a footbridge over the Langley Roundabout to join the cycle track alongside Mayor’s Farm Road. Turning down Ditton Road we reached Horton Road along which we cycled through Horton Village to lunch at The Golden Cross, Poyle. Dave P left us here and Andy, Dave T., Graham, Jim H., Lawrie, Liliane, Peter G., Phil, and myself stopped for lunch.
After lunch we travelled up Poyle Road to Colnebrook where we joined the A4 cycle path to Lakeside Road and heading to Richings Park via Old Slade lane after which we made for Thorney Park golf course for a tea stop. here the group dispersed and Graham, Jim, and I cycled home via Little Britain.
