The weather has turned cold and snowing in the morning. I decided to do an in-door workout. It took a few moments to get the gear setup. Once it was working, I had no problems. I started modest, as usual, for the first 5 minutes. Then picked up the pace. Doing semi-intervals to get the legs warmed up for Box Hill. About 20 minute into the ride, I noticed that the trainer was behaving funny. The rear wheel was loosing traction and was bouncing up and down. Upon further observation, I noticed that I had a rear flat tire! First time on the trainer... I fixed it in about 5 or 6 minutes. Hopped back on and finished the ride. Box hill went well. I'm at around 135 lbs. Still trying to gain weight since the cold I had, earlier in the year. I did the entire climb standing. I felt comfortable, and kept the tempo high. Doing mostly 3.5+ Watts/Kg for the duration of the climb. After that, I put in a good sprint going through the tunnel. I made it to the finish in about 46ish minutes, and that's exactly the amount of time I wanted to spend on the trainer. I warmed down for a few minutes and then hopped off. Concentration was good. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working great. First time with my 40" 4k TV. I had it in 1440p full screen mode. It wasn't perfectly smooth, a bit of jittery animation. But, worked flawless, otherwise. No blacking out of the screen or distortions, as was the case with the Sharp TV. Perhaps I need to reduce the resolution. Until next time...
