Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Great day for a ride. Cool, in the low 50's. Mild winds from the North. I decided to scout the course in which the TGF route will take. Specifically, Backes to WTR. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my observations are as follows. There's no shoulder till you get to WTR. On the way down WTR, that steep drop into near Westwood had turbulent wind conditions. Almost felt like the WS wind farms descent. Suffice it to say, I was getting knocked around from the turbulent wind conditions. But it was controllable. My main concern was traffic from behind. As for the ride... I felt good today. Didn't take much time to get warmed up, and I did good time to the end of OTR. I had a cross-tailwind on the way out. When I reached the top of Highline, I set the GPS to my correct body weight of about 139lbs. I then continued the outbound leg. Doing mostly moderate tempo. The way back was mostly the same. No heroics, but a nice steady tempo that I could ticker over. Some pushes here and there. There's a lot of salt gravel on the ground. So, I was having to negotiate traffic, as the gravel was all over the bike lane. Concentration was good. I was in the zone. Balance and form felt good. A bit sideways in some places, to be expected due to the cross winds. Ailments, none. Gear is working flawless. Other notes, no other cyclists.
