Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

When I woke up, there was snow on the ground. Perfect day for an in-door training session. I chose the mountain route on Zwift. It's been a while, but I remember why I like this course. Starts along side the ocean and then climbs through the mountains, above the snow line. The scenery is great. And it does feel like your climbing. I tried to keep my wattage in the 200 realm. Some times more, some times less. I was in and out of the saddle. For minutes at a time. After finishing the climb, I did the extra climb route, to the very top of the mountain. Mostly out of the saddle. During the ascent, I was perspiring quite a bit. I had a towel on hand, so I was having to sit in order to wipe off the moisture. I didn't use a fan today, and I don't think I was overheating. So, marginal difference. After the summit, I headed back down. Keeping up with a small pack and then warmed down after reaching the main island. Concentration was good. I was able to use my new laptop in 4k mode with the Samsung TV. Worked like a charm. Very impressive. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, sore sit bones. Soreness in the palms when I was out of the saddle for more than 3 to 5 minutes. Gear is working great. Zwift detected the hardware, no issues this time.
