The weather cleared up. It was in the low 50's, winds from the south. I was planning on doing the full SS route, but the wind conditions weren't favorable. So, I did the shorter route. My legs felt responsive. I was good to go, by the time I reached the end of OTR. Banducci went fast, as per the generous tailwind. I took a moment to breath, when I reached the summit. Then I headed downhill. It wasn't as dangerous as I had anticipated. The wind was significant, but it wasn't very turbulent. The trek through the farmlands was a chore. Doing no more than 15 MPH for most of the way. I was looking forward to the last climb and its shelter from the wind. After reaching the summit, I sat up a bit and then headed back. Mostly traffic mitigation on Route 202 and easy riding for the remainder. Concentration felt good. I had some things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some soreness in the right knee. Gear is working well. Other notes, no other cyclists today. Route 202 was dangerous today. Must have been 5 or 6 cars that had to pass as I was nearing the intersection. I ended up turning right and did a U-ee to get back onto OTR.
