Today was a recovery ride. I did the Buffalo Run. The weather is a bit cooler. It was around the 70’s when I got out. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. On the way, I realized that I forgot to turn on the Komoot app. I started the app in the start of the OTR climb. I practiced using the app to navigate. It’s very simple. Aside from that, the ride went as normal. No heroics. I was keeping tabs on the soreness parts of the body. I was getting hints of soreness on the inner / upper thighs. It never escalated. It was a bit agitated from compression on the shorts. After making it to the summit of OTR, I headed up Highline and zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood. I kept a moderate tempo back to OTR. From there, it was mostly fun and games. I kept my tempo going over Mariposa, and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. Minimal lapses and minimal gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hints of inner quad soreness that never escalated. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through half my sport drink. I adjusted the mixture from one and a quarter to one scoop. The GI was mostly cooperative. It hinted on soreness as I was nearing the end of OTR on the descent. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, there was one other (recumbent) cyclist.
