Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It’s a great day to get out! I woke up around 5:45AM-ish and had breakfast. That allowed me to nap for a couple hours before getting ready to ride. I wore the standard summer kit. The temperature was in the 70’s when I got out and the wind was mostly from the North West, but turned turbulent towards the last half of the ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. Today was a test to see if I would have leg pains. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was on 6 O’clock alert. The Alpine Forest climb went as normal. I settled into a tempo without red-lining it. After making to the top of Arosa, I took a few moments to stretch and recover. I then made my way around the backside, reaching over 43 MPH on the downhill. When I made it to the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to take a few moments rest. I let cars pass and then headed down the mountain. I reached over 40 MPH on the descent. It was safe with minimal traffic. The trek through the farmlands went quick. I think I had a slight tailwind, tough to tell. When I reached the entrance to SS, I took a few moments to recover and stretch. I made my way around the backside and then downhill into town. I put in a good sprint. I eclipsed 40 MPH in the tuck. I stopped at the local park to bio. Shortly after, I headed into town. I forgot to check the time at the tunnel. There was traffic activity, so I was distracted. At least I remembered to start the GoPro. I stopped at the local mini-mart to mix a powder drink with the extra bottled water in my saddle. I gathered my trash and discarded it. From there, I made my way back on the farmlands. The wind was somewhat turbulent, so I didn’t have a tailwind I was hoping for. The torn up roads didn’t help either. I stopped once to swap out the GoPor battery. I made it to Boss Hogs in around 1:40-ish hours, give or take. So, I lost about 5 to 6 minutes on the return. The last climb went well. I kept the tempo steady, no heroics. The last half mile or so was into a headwind. I put it into the easy gears at that point. I kept the tempo going over the top. I stopped to feed a Clif Bar and then headed back home. At this point, the wind turn 180. So, was doing into a headwind till I reached OTR. Route 202 had some traffic mitigation, no fun. After reaching OTR, it was mostly fun and games. I had a modest tailwind going up Mariposa. I shut it down after reaching the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The morale felt good. I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. The legs passed the test. No sharp pains, just the usual sense of fatigue. Nutrition was good. I had just enough fluids to get me home. The Clif Bar helped, too. Gear worked flawlessly. No mystery clicks today. Other notes, Iaw three cyclists and an event at SS with BMX’ers.
