I managed to get up from my morning nap just in time for a late morning ride. The weather is nice and cool. About 60 and winds from the North West. I wore arms, knees, cap, base layer and a newspaper. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall climb had some traffic mitigation. I was close to max going over the top. My patience felt a bit better when I made it to the Arosa climb. The miles went quick. I was looking for the landmarks. I was near max going over the top. I zipped around the backside. I reached 40 MPH on the descent to Banducci. After making it to the summit, I took a few moments to recover, hydrate and let traffic by. From there, it was mostly downhill to home. Descending off the Banducci Wall was cautious because the wind was turbulent and I had traffic from behind. Descending off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down after hammering up Weston.
Concentration was mostly good. I was impatient to start. I was feeling better after reaching the summit of OTR. I had minimal lapses and no gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a few grapes before the start of the ride. That seemed to hold me over. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness while climbing up Arosa. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists today.
