Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I was reluctant to get up early, so I took my usual nap. When I got up, the weather was cold and cloudy. I was stuck 50/50 trying to decide what ride to do. I ended up riding on MyWhoosh. I chose a map that would las about 1:15 hours in duration. I threw the gear together and hopped on before noon. The legs felt pretty good to start. The first 10 minutes was mostly flat or rolling terrain, then it entered the mountainous segments. The gradient varied between about 4% to 13%. I think the steeper slopes felt more difficult than Zwift, otherwise, it was mostly the same sensation. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts to keep the body as fresh as possible. The scenery was captivating. They went for a more realistic feel than Zwift. Lots of high quality landscaping. After reaching the summit, I was keeping an eye on the time and distance to the finish. I was doing the numbers in my head. The last half was mostly downhill and flat or rolling. I was doing about 20 MPH. On the flats, so I was averaging around 20 MPH, so that’s 3 minutes per mile. Based on that, I was able to do the numbers. I ended up finishing with about 2 to 3 minutes of my estimates. After finishing the lap, I entered the cool-down phase. I hopped off after my HR went down to 112 BPM.
Concentration was mostly good. Perhaps I could have hopped on sooner. I was a bit impatient to start. The new map had me guessing how to approach it. Otherwise few lapses, no gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. The hands cooperated this time with minimal numbness. Nutrition was good, although I was entering a hunger sensation towards the end of the ride. Any more and I would have been forced to feed on something. Gear worked flawlessly. Bluetooth worked better with the trainer than ANT+. I had to switch to Bluetooth in the first few minutes of the ride. It didn’t drop for the duration of the ride. The FPS was low, just high enough to make it realistic. Perhaps 22 FPS at best. Not sure why. Perhaps the 4k resolution was a bit too much. Other notes, there were about 250 riders on this map when I hopped on. Much more then the last time I trained on MyWhoosh.
