Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was great. Nice and cool with North-Westerly winds. It was the first time I rode my bike with the new wheels. It's difficult to judge them yet, but my first impression was positive. Out the door, my legs felt pretty good. I was able to make it to the top of WTR in about 10 minutes. I cruised the downhill, mostly soft-pedaling. I made it to the bottom in average time. I felt good on the climb. My legs were ticking over nicely. I was never in difficulty. I think I dosed my efforts to perfection today. I kept the tempo nice and high, and pushed a bit over the loop monument and over the summit. For the most part, my concentration was spot on. Some deviations that took a few moments to regain focus, but nothing that disturbed my tempo. Leg balance was also great, minimal concentration was needed to stay in the zone. Gear is working well. I made to updates since the previous ride. I got new wheels and a new electric cable for the rear derailleur. The cable was just barely long enough to reach the junction box underneath the bottom bracket. None the less, it worked flawlessly. As for the new wheels, no noises. When I was in the garage and rotated the rear wheel, the sound was much louder than my previous pair. But, when I was out doors, it was less than half the noise it made in the garage. I had ear-phones, but, between songs, I could hardly hear the wheel churning (for lack of better word). The wheel felt a bit more responsive than the previous. They tracked nicely, worked well in the turbulent winds. And, no noises. It's going to take me at least 1 to 2 weeks to make a definitive assessment. Other notes, I saw 2 other cyclists. One of which I saw climbing (while I was descending), and the same person again, going down (while I was ascending). I'm not sure if it was the same person, but it looked like the same bike (red). I also saw Bob on his way down. Great day for a ride! I love these days. Oh, and the Gran Fondo is going to have a 67 mile ride that goes through Keene, Stallion Springs, Bear Valley, and Highline. It's supposed to be a timed event, but there are rest stops and such. Those who want to be competitive can, while others will do their own ride. I believe it will be a mass start event. It will be on Sep. 13.
