Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I got up around 6:30 in the morning. Had breakfast, took a nap. But wasn't able to get up as early as I would have liked. About 9:30ish. Not sure what happened. Nevertheless, I got out around 12ish. Weather was warm, but bearable. Favorable winds. The legs felt pretty good to start. A bit slow on the way to the top of WTR. I cruised to Keene and then headed back. It took a few minutes for the climbing legs to wake up. I was keeping my mind active. Thinking of the GranFondo, Landmarks, and stuff in general. The ascent went well. I made it through the landmarks as I normally do. I had some slight right quad soreness, that didn't escalate. After reaching the summit, I called home for bottles and then headed down to the lockers. Once there, I swapped bottles and headed out. About 2 minutes of stoppage, no more. OTR went quick, as I was sufficiently warmed up. Banducci felt good. I was on top of my gears, pushing of the top, reaching my max. When I reached the Alpine Forest, I took a few moments to let my body recover, and then settled into a good tempo. I was keeping my mind on the speed bumps, just going through the numbers in my mind. How much longer will it take to get there? My estimates were fairly accurate. I was near max on the right hander, after the last speed bump. I made my way to the Banducci summit. I took a few moments rest. Hydrated and ate half of a Power Bar. Shortly after, I headed downhill. When I reached Pelliser, there was construction. They controlled traffic, so I was having to wait there for a few minutes. When they let traffic by, I was drafting off of them. doing not much more than 21MPH. I was thinking of a bio at this point. The porta potties appeared to have farmers nearby. So, out of respect, I decided not to use them. I made my way around the back-end of SS and pulled into the local park. The bathroom was open, so I did my bio there. It was the right choice. I cruised my way around SS and then made my way out. They were controlling traffic on the exit, so I had to wait for 5 minutes before continuing. When they let traffic through, I was drafting off the vehicles, all the way to Pelliser. When I got there, I was able to step up the tempo and make my way through the farmlands. The last climb felt good. The legs weren't too fatigued. I was thinking, at this point, the next time I do this ride, I want to add the Bear Valley entrance climb. After reaching the summit, putting in a sufficient dig, I recovered and headed downhill to OTR (with traffic mitigation). From there it was fun and games to Mariposa and home. Concentration was spot on. No gremlins today. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, some mild quad soreness nearing the Keene climb, and a few other places, that did not escalate. Some hand numbness. Gear is working well. No issues. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
