Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It wasn't raining today, but it was very windy. I decided, at the last moment to train indoors. The wind was going North West. Would have been good on the return from WS. But getting out there would have been hell. I got my gear and kit together and chose a map. The default for the day was London, but I didn't want to train there. So, I switched maps to Watopia. I chose the Mountain Route. Just for curiosity, I brought my GPS to compare wattage ratings. The results were odd. The trainer was 15 to 20 watts higher than the GPS. I think I need to calibrate the power meter. The ride went well. The gear functioned perfect. It took a while before I started to break a sweat. Probably 10 or 15 minutes into the climb. I was pushing between 3 and 4 Watts/kg most of the way. Out of the saddle frequently and in the saddle to recover. I did this for the entire climb. Keeping the tempo steady, and the power constant. Not many reprieves. I made the summit in good time. I think I was about 50 minutes into the ride when I reached the radio tower summit. The route was just over 18 miles, and I was about 10 or so miles at the summit. So, I headed down and then started to calculate how far I have to go, to get to the start/finish. When I reached 1 hour, I was about 2 miles or so, from the start/finish. I decided to ride it out. It took an extra 7 to 10 minutes. After making it to the end, I commenced the cool-down. Concentration felt good. Mostly in the zone. Miles/minutes going fast. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked perfect. Will need to calibrate the power meter, as I changed batteries the other day. Other notes, there were less than 70 riders on this day, on this map.
