Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

First things first... The power meter didn't pair and I didn't notice till I got half way up WTR. So, wattage and cadence data is missing. The weather has turned cold. It's in the 40's with modest winds from the North West. I wore pretty much everything. Including the new aeroshell for my helmet. I think it worked well. As I was making my way up WTR, my hearing was dominated by the airflow, as I was going into the wind. Tough to tell, but I think the aeroshell may have increased the airflow around my ears, thus making it louder than normal. That's just a guess, more on that in the future rides. I made my way to the top of OTR in good time. Under 10 minutes. I cruised the downhill and to the base. No traffic mitigation today. I was sufficiently warm. The hands got just a bit cold in the last mile to the base. I spared no time and headed back. I kept the tempo no less than moderate. I was comparing the sensation of power/resistance, real-world vs the trainer. I'd say the sensation of effort is very similar. But, I definitely think climbing in the real world is still more difficult. Considering the other aspects like wind, cold, balance, etc. I had some things to ponder, so the miles went fairly quick. No heroics. No pushes over the top. Concentration was pretty good. Some hints of gremlins, otherwise benign. Balance and form felt good. I raised the saddle height by about 1/4 inch or so. It feels good. Pending more ride confirmation. Ailments, left hip soreness that didn't linger but was barely noticeable. Not detracting to the ride tempo, either. Gear worked great, with the exception of the power/cadence sensors. New batteries are order. Other notes, I saw one cyclist descending as I was in the last 2 miles of the ascent. There was another cyclist up the road, then he disappeared. I'm guessing he lived nearby and got off the road before I could bridge.
