Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather cleared up, but was still cold. In the mid 40's. I wore the standard winter kit, with my aeroshell. The legs felt heavy to start. I wasn't sure if they would come around. I made my way up OTR, and by teh end, the legs felt better. I cruised my way to the end of Highline. Mostly moderate tempo. No heroics. On my way there, I was calculating my return average speed. Given that the wind was going to be near perfect headwind, I was thinking 10-11 MPH. Turns out that It was no less than 12 MPH. I kept the pace steady. The first half mile was mostly warming up. Like starting a climb. Eventually, I settled into a nice tempo. The miles went quick. I was keeping my mind somewhat occupied. I think it helped. I knew the last risers were going to be difficult. And they were. When I got there, I concentrated on one riser at a time. In the low gears, grinding out of the saddle. No heroics, just kept the pedals ticking over. From there, it was relief, and the last bit of climb to get back to OTR. Morale got better and was mostly enjoyable till I got back. Concentration was good. Ambient gremlins as I anticipated. Probably a bit more than, but not very detracting. Mostly benign. Balance and form felt good. Ailments were next to none. Maybe some left hip soreness. My right shoulder has been bothering my lately, but didn't hurt during the ride. Gear worked flawless. The GoPro did stop recording after about 1:20 hrs. I ended up putting another battery in the camera and then resumed till I got home, about 10 minutes later. Other notes, no other cyclists today. Although there was a commuter as I was making my way back from WS.
Edit: Although the GPS is working well. The display is a bit dim. I'm going to try riding with the back-light on and see how the battery fairs by the end of the next ride.
