The weather remains on the cool side. It was in the mid/low 70’s, winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt average today. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was constantly looking around. As usual, I felt better when I reached the Arosa climb. The first half felt a bit slow. When I reached the speed bumps, things felt like they were going quicker. I was near max going over the top, but I had matches left to burn. I made my way around the backside. I had fun on the downhill, reaching 40MPH. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to recover, hydrate and let traffic by. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. There was some traffic mitigation, but it was safe. Descending off the Banducci Wall was also safe. There were wind conditions, but it wasn’t turbulent. I was able to let the wheels roll. I made my way up Highline and then around the Buffalo Neighborhood. I hopped back on Highline and then to OTR for the return. Descending off OTR was enjoyable. I pushed over Mariposa and then the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was in the zone most of the time. Although slightly impatient from time to time. The music and GPS announcements helped. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and grapes for breakfast. Ailments were minimal. I still have a stiff neck, but it is getting better. Gear worked flawlessly. There’s still a mystery click while in the saddle and grinding. I will be getting the recommended lubrication in the mail soon. Will see how it works with the saddle. Other notes, I saw a familiar e-cyclist and a walker.
Other notes, I made it in good average time to the summit of Banducci.
