A good night's rest had at Casa Biasca with several fellow riders recovering from jetlag. Took the bike to the doctor (bike mechanic) last night and picked it up midday...the bottom bracket had completely collapsed..which explains the graunching sounds from the last week!! From the pile of scrap metal on the workshop floor it's hard to see how it made it to the end.
Eventually got going and the peleton headed back down the valley and around to Locarno and the picturesque Lake Maggiore at a rather brisk pace (these guys must have done some training after all) A wee spell and photo op then back to Biasca via Bellinzona (a late lunch and one refreshment)
Great days first ride with the group followed by a home cooked pasta meal courtesy of Chef Baldi and a couple of local Reds.
