Riazzino to Biasca

Off in the vans back down towards Locarno to start today's ride up the Verzasca Valley to Sorogno. Slight delay as someone (C Baldi) left his cycling shoes behind. Bill Gary and I started the ride while Martin took Chris (with tail between his legs) back to collect said shoes. Honest climb to begin up to the very tall concrete dam that featured in the Bond movie Golden Eye
From there a nice gradient to the top of the valley and the picturesque village of Sorogno. Lots of old styled Swiss stone cottages with roofs of stone shingles.
Continued to the end of the road amongst rocky side walls, jagged peaks above and fast flowing bouldery mountain stream ( compulsory swim 🏊‍♀️).
Lunch in the village and then a splendid 30km downhill before Martin and I rode home to Biasca as the van could only fit three.
A superb ride in very scenic surroundings ..Perfecto day !!!
