Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. I woke up and the ground was wet, outside. I decided an indoor ride would be perfect. After my nap, I got my gear ready and hopped on. I installed the new rear trainer tire. It worked like a charm. I decided to do the Alp du Zwift route. It started on a bridge and then headed into the Mayan jungle. Then the real climb started. 21 hairpin turns. My approach was to keep the Watts/Kg in the 3 to 3.5 range. Periodically sitting down to wipe and drink. It was a rinse and repeat process. I'm about 3 pounds heavier since the last time I did this ride. I think the Watt's/kg were lower than previous, by about 1 or 2 tenths. I kept my HR at no more than 152ish. I kept in mind the landmark milestones. First, the 20th turn, 10, 5 and 3. I was out of the saddle most of the time. I also had to sit down to let my hands recover. I like this climb because I never feel like I'm going to top if off too soon. It's all about pacing. After turn 5, my morale was getting better. IE, the light at the end of the tunnel effect. I was trying to estimate my ETA based on the metrics and what I did the last time on this route. When I reached the summit, I was about 2 minutes off. 59 minutes and change. That put me at 8th place. No doubt the pros weren't riding today. From there, I made my way around the top and back down. I wanted to see if I could make it to where I started, so I just followed the path I took to get to the climb. Somewhere along the way I took the wrong turn and never found the start/finish line. After realizing, I decided to cool-down and stop. Concentration was good. I was in the zone. There were more riders on the route than I anticipated, so that kept me motivated. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, right hand numbness, and palm soreness from being out of the saddle. Gear worked flawless. The new trainer tire worked great! Less noise, no slippage, and no thumping noises. (I'm going to send an email to Elite to let them know). The Game Bar streamer, stopped working half way in to the ride. I didn't even notice, as I was concentrated on the ride. Other notes, there were about 2000 riders when I started and about 1300 when I finished.
