The weather is colder and cloudy. Winds from the North West. I wore arms, knees, head cap, thick base layer and my jacket. I brought my face mask stashed in my saddle for good measure. My legs were a bit on the heavy side to start. I felt better as I made my way up OTR. I reached the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci climb went as normal. There was some traffic mitigation. I had matches remaining going over the top. The Arosa climb felt good. It went fairly quick. I turned down the music so that I could hear myself breathing. It kept me in the zone. I was near max going over the top. I made my way around the backside while having fun on the descent. I reached the summit of Banducci and took a few brief moments to recover. After letting traffic by, I headed back down the mountain. It was safe, with no traffic from behind until I reached the flat part. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe. I feathered the brakes on the way down. From there, it was the descent off OTR, mostly relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back to the top of Weston and shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. The music helped as well. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. I drank more than half my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal, the usual hand soreness. The muscles and joints cooperated. I did, however, feel some soreness on the left side of my chest. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Almost as if there was a pocket of air trapped or something. More observations on it is worth merit. Gear worked flawlessly. The bike was nice and quiet. Other notes, no cyclists today.
