It's another rainy day. Another one for Zwift. I wanted to complete the New York route, "Green to Screen in New York", since I wasn't able to the previous time I rode this map. Getting the gear together was quick. No mishaps. I started modest. The legs felt pretty good to start. This map has minimal climbs. Mostly undulating terrain. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts, even on the flats. This map was supposed to be an hour long ride. I did it in about 55 minutes or so. The new scenery kept my attention. Not much else to tell. There were some timed segments. I think I posted top 3rd, at best. This map would make for a good recovery ride since you can go as slow or fast as you want and it will give some eye candy back. After completing the lap, I commenced the cool down. I cooled down till the HR reached 112 BPM, then I hopped off.
Concentration was good. I kept my patience in check. I had no lapses and no gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. I think my left knee was hinting on soreness at some point, but went away just as quick. The hands got sore, but not too bad. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, a banana and some grapes for breakfast. Gear worked flawlessly. I think I want to try lifting the front end just a bit on the next ride to see how it feels. At the moment, it seems I am leaning too far forward. Other notes, there were over 2000 riders on the NY map and 12,000 combined.
