The weather is excellent. It's in the low 60's. Winds from the North West. Perfect for going to the Alpine Forest. I wore arms, knees, thick base layer, and newspaper in the jersey. It was a good combination. I also brought my head cap just in case. The legs felt ok to start. Perhaps a bit on the heavy side. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. I pulled over to adjust my left knee warmer. After that, I headed to the Banducci Wall. There was some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The Arosa climb was a bit more relaxing, yet intense. I was at maximum going over the top. I made my way around the back side. I had fun on the descents. I then headed to the top of Banducci. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover and let traffic by. Then I headed back down the mountain. I had a tailwind on the way to the Banducci Wall. There was some traffic mitigation, but it was safe. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe. The wind was steady. I soft-pedalled my way down the wall. Then I made my way to OTR. It was mostly fun and games and relaxing descending off OTR. I pushed over Mariposa and then the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. The morale was good. No gremlins. Balance and form was good. My saddle position feels good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and half a banana for breakfast. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists out there today.
