Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was cold but comfortable. it was in the low 50's, maybe less. I wore 2 base layers, arms, knees, cap, face mask, and long finger gloves. I felt comfortable for the entire ride. There wasn't any point where I was uncomfortable from the cold weather. In fact, it was quite nice. I reached the top of the descent in average time. I was pretty much cruising it at low tempo. My legs felt good from the start. I soft-pedaled the downhill. The wind was from the north, so I had a generous tailwind on the ascent. When I reached the base and started the climb back, I stopped at the Caesar Chavez center monument to remove my cap. I had to open my jersey as I was starting to get warm. By opening my jersey, I felt more comfortable and had no signs of over heating. This cool weather was perfect for the climb. It kept my core temperature nice and cool, the weather was saturated with fresh air, and I had a nice tailwind. Pretty much ideal climbing conditions. I did steady tempo for most of the way back, no heroics. Concentration was a marked improvement over the last 2 rides. No gremlins on the downhill today. I was focused for most of the climb, not having to coach in order to remain in the zone. Ailments were none. Balance was good. Gear worked well. All in all, a good ride. Other notes, the charity app is working well. When I stopped at the Caesar Chavez center, I took some photos of the passing train.
