Today's weather was great. In the mid 60s. Winds from the north. I decided to take it easy today. No heroics. The only dig was over the last 2 risers on the way back from Willow Springs. My legs felt good for the majority of the ride. Just a bit of warmup for about 10 minutes and I was good to go for the remainder. I think I made it to route 202 in about 20ish minutes. When I got to highline, the wind was almost a perfect tailwind. But when I got to the other side of the mile ascent, the wind turned into a cross-tail. Being such, I had no intention of laying down a fast out-bound time. I kept the pace moderate and concentrated on other stuff like balance and focus. My concentration was good today. I was in the zone for the most part. Few if any gremlins. Balance was good, not great. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, and some left deep tissue hip soreness. None of which required a change in pace. Gear was flawless today. I started the apps in my smartphone and it worked just as it was supposed to. My new GPS is due on Tuesday, so I have to wait till the next ride on Wed. (weather permitting). I want to try the live tracking feature.
