Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today was about as cold as the previous ride, and a little bit more windy. It was somewhere in the upper 40's. I wore 2 base layers, arms, knees, and cap. I started without the cap, but shortly after put it on about 5 minutes into the ride. I ended up going to SS instead of Willow Springs n Back because of the wind conditions and I just didn't feel like going to Willow Springs. The ride got colder as it progressed. My legs were a bit heavy in the beginning, no doubt due to the headwind (winds from the north). I did moderate tempo for the first half of the ride. I wasn't paying attention to my time because I knew the outbound leg was going to be slow. The return trip was a bit more comfortable given that there was a generous tailwind. I picked up the pace a bit on the last half of the ride. My concentration was good for the most part. I think I got lucky that I didn't have any gremlins on my back today. Ailments were close to none, I had a sore hip somewhere on the last 15 minutes of the ride. It went away after a minute or two, also from stretching my legs. Gear is working well. Charity app was near flawless. My GPS warned of a low battery condition. It's done this before, but I think this time it wasn't fully charged.
