I was planning on going to Keene today, but the weather did not permit. The fog rolled in and the roads were damp. I decided to ride on MyWhoosh. I chose the The Seven Gems map because I knew I could finish it in just over an hour. I was right on the money. The legs felt pretty good to start. Nothing too special about this map. It was mostly flat rolling terrain. There was only one modest climbing segments. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts. Somewhat interval-like. After half way, I started to sweat. The miles went quick. The app worked perfectly with nice scenery. The body responded well. There were a few timed segments, but there were no leader-boards. After completing the first lap, I commenced the cool-down. I let the HR down gently. By the time my HR went back down to 112 I had ridden another mile.
Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. I experienced some hand soreness. My right upper quad / hip region was hinting on soreness towards the last part of the ride, but never escalated nor detract from my tempo. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and half a banana before hoping on. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I forgot to check the number of riders on this map. I think it was around 200 riders.
