The weather has warmed up a bit. It is now in the mid / upper 70’s. Cool winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I had matches to burn going over the top. The Arosa climb went quick. There was more traffic than usual. I was near max going over the top, but had matches in reserve. I made my way around the backside and had fun on the descents. From there, I headed to the top of Banducci. After making it to the summit, I pulled over to relax a few moments. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. Descending off Banducci was mostly safe. There were a few cars from behind that I had to let through. Descending off the wall was safe. The wind was steady and not turbulent. Then the descent off OTR. It was fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about and I was in the zone most of the time with minimal lapses. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. I had the other half of the banana and some grapes before departing. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. The joints and muscles felt good. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists out there today!
