Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It is warming up. It was in the upper 70's when I got out. Winds were favorable, from the North West. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was watching my 6. I was near max going over the top, but I had matches left in the pocket. The remainder of the climb was mostly moderate tempo doing in and out of the saddle efforts. After making it to the summit, I took a few moments to recover. I let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. It was safe and fun at the same time. The trek through the farmlands was uneventful. I did steady tempo till I reached SS. I made my way around the backside and then the descent into town. I put in a good sprint on the downhill. I reached over 40 mph. I stopped at the park to take a nature break, but the bathroom was closed. From there, I headed into town and to the mini mart. I made it to the tunnel in about 1:06 hours. So, I was on "so so" time. I mixed a bottle of powder drink at the minim mart and then headed back. The return trip through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo. I stopped at the electric station for a quick bio. They had a porta-potty there. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:29 hours. so, I gave up just 3 minutes on the return. Not too bad. The last climb went quick. I did in and out of the saddle efforts and I tried to keep the tempo no less than moderate. I pushed over the top and stopped at the summit. I fed a Clif Bar with water. I swapped the battery on the GoPro and then got back on the road. Route 202 had minimal traffic mitigation. So, it was safe. The descent off OTR was fun, until something happened. I was descending and all of a sudden my GPS and camera broke loose from the mount on the handlebars. I had to stop to pick up the pieces. From what I can tell, the camera survived, but the GPS has cracks on the screen. I put a screen saver on it, so hopefully that reduced the damage. Pending inspection. After that ordeal, I got back on the road and made my way up Mariposa. I did the grind to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. I was in the zone most of the time. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. While on the bike, I fed a Clif Bar with some water. I drank almost two bottles of sport drink. Ailments were minimal today. Just the usual hand soreness. The legs, knees, hips, etc were in check. Just the usual sense of soreness.
Other notes, I saw about 5 or 6 cyclists today. Some at SS and another on OTR.
