It's magic! This route descends more than it climbs. At Little Bennett, a known climby location. Ok, yeah, sure, there's shuttling involved. But it also manages to go DOWN Rock Oak Run, Browning Run, Windy Ridge, Pine Knob and of course Sidewinder. It ignores the Pine Grove climb (though it's also a fun downhill but makes a coherent route, aka non-repeating, difficult), and the always-muddy creek crossing on the western half of Browning Run and most of the gravel Western Piedmont. Hot day, though not humid, and we went waaay faster than I realized. The legs were appropriately tired toward the end and were particularly unhappy about the climb from 8.8 to about 10, when we lost contact with our companion.
