Been awhile since I've done this route -- was busy training for the C&O/GAP and then it rained for a week.
Trails have recovered nicely but OMG the undergrowth is growing wild. A lot of them could use trimming already (and it's not even June).
Unlike the ride two days ago, things felt pretty good the whole ride. Legs have not been the problem; the rest of the body has. Today, pretty good.
Finally managed to clear the third water crossing on the unsanctioned trails at the tree farm (mile 1.1). You have to not mind getting splashed because you gotta hit it pretty fast to get up the other side. Being wet in this weather is of no consequence.
Checked out another unofficial trail spotted for the first time at 5.3 -- it goes out to E. Village Ave. and appears to be somebody's unofficial access to the main trail in the woods.
Water crossing at 6.4 needs a little love -- maybe some big rock as a armor on the west side because it's pretty muddy right there. Still, cleared it.
Lovely day, with the temperature right at 70°. Kinda windy, though not scarily so, and being in the woods was better than fighting roady winds.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
