It's both been awhile since we rode at Little Bennett and awhile since we did the "old" figure-8 loop. No shuttle from the school (cuz it's in session!) to take in the fast downhill on Rock Oak Run; no starting from the Day Use Area and going down (and back up) Sopers Branch; nothing avoiding the pine climbs. Nope, straight up OG riding from when this was all there was. Lovely fall day, with temperature in the 80s and summer-level humidity. Sweatiest we've been in awhile. Forecast ahead is for ... not that. Lots of climbing (well yeah, it's LB). Sooo much climbing. The stretch from 4.9 to 6.5 was particularly hard with April legs and lungs. Zero chances to recover, it's just steady climbing. Still, great ride. Even with the struggles, am starting to feel much more normal.
