Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I got up early today and had breakfast. I decided to take a one hour nap. I struggled to get out of bed, but managed to get up before it got too late. The weather is great. Normal wind conditions. Somewhat turbulent. But, mostly from the South East. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest. The legs felt average to start. And, got a bit better as the ride progressed. I made my way through OTR in average time. Then the Banducci wall. Some traffic mitigation. A bit of a tailwind. I didn't have to red-line it too much to get over the top. The Alpine forest went fast. I was keeping the tempo steady. The mind occupied and didn't have to red-line it much. I increased the tempo as I made my way to Lemans. From there it was the quick kicker and then Banducci Summit. When I to the summit, I pulled over and took a few moments rest. I took a peak at the GoPro battery. It had about 35% to 37% battery remaining. I calculated that it would get me through CV. I headed down the mountain. A bit cautious about the speed, as I had a tailwind. I'm trying to hone my tuck skills in these conditions. I was telling myself to stay focused, relax, let the wheels roll. It definitely helped, I was able to let the bike roll and I wasn't mashing the brakes. The trip through CV was as expected. Slow, due to the headwind. I was able to hold a descent pace, all things told. It went quick. I got to the last climb, checked the GoPro batteries. They were at around 7% remaining. So, I decided to swap batteries. I had to stop a second time, because the camera threw an error for the SD Card. Turning it off and on, did the trick. From there it was non-stop to the summit. Holding moderate tempo. No digs over the top. The false flat was mostly recovery. But, I was also going into a headwind. So it wasn't a 100% recovery. From there it was mostly traffic mitigation through Route 202 and fun and games from there. Concentration was pretty good. I was staying on the positive side of things. It helped. I was staying as far away as the "Just X miles left" syndrome. Listen to the body and landmarks instead. Balance and form was reasonably good. Ailments, some hip/inner thigh soreness. It went away, just as quick. Not too detracting. Gear worked great! Other notes, I saw about 5 cyclists today.
