Today's weather was cool near summit and warmer at Keene. Winds from the north. I wore 2 base layers, arms, knees and cap. I removed the knees and cap at the base of Keene. It must have been 7 to 10 degrees warmer down there. I felt a bit sluggish at the start of the ride, but just as quickly warmed up and felt lively. I cruised the downhill. There was a slow car ahead of me, so I had to ride the brakes. After reaching the base, I removed my extra layers and headed back. I felt good the entire way. I was benefiting from the tailwind. I kept the tempo moderate to high. No digs, just nice and steady. My concentration was in the zone for the majority of the ride. I felt good. Balance was also very good. On top of the pedals and consistent momentum. Ailments consisted of lower back pain. It was noticeable on the steeper sections of the climb. Gear is working well. I forgot to record the downhill. Otherwise, very few sounds from the bike and all other electronics worked flawless. Other notes, there were a lot of cattle out today.
