Wow! Fantastic weather. Winds going the right way (from the north) and the temperature around low to mid 60's. Perfect day for a ride! I wore 1 base layer. I was perfectly comfortable with respect to my atire. My legs and body felt much better on this ride than the previous. I started out modest. I made it to Route 202 faster than I anticipated. I climbed banducci in moderate tempo. No digs, even over the summits. The downhill was fun and games. I kept the tempo moderate through C.V. I think I put more effort over the S.S. summit than Banducci. I continued to feel good at this point and was able to breeze through S.S. I cruised the Banducci return and lifted the pace a bit through Pelliser and the remainder of C.V. I did good tempo over the last climb, no digs, and well within my limits. From that point on it was fun and games all the way back to the door steps. Concentration today was much better than the previous ride, some gremlins here and there, but I was able to keep it together. I was in the zone for the most part, but I did have a few moments of the crazies. Kind of embarrassing more than anything. Ailments were next to none. I think my right knee had a hint of soreness. Maybe some right hand numbness. Balance was good. I was on top of the pedals for the most part. Gear is working well. No problems there, maybe some slight creaking noises. I probably have to reseat the wheels again. Other notes, I'm going to clean my chain, cassette and chain rings soon. Likely tomorrow.
