It's raining today. Great day for an indoor workout. I did the Watopia Mountain Loop, the last time. So, I decided to ride the map of the day, London. I chose the Hilly Loop. I decided to do two laps around the 9 mile loop. I was hoping to do a negative split on the climb and loop. The legs felt good from the start. There were about 7000 riders today. I had my music going. I was in the zone, from the start. It took about 10 minutes to get to the climb. I was sufficiently warmed up by that time. I was out of the saddle most of the time. Putting between 3 and 4 Watts/kg. I kept the tempo steady. No surges. I reached the summit in about 8 minutes and change. I headed downhill from there, and into town. No dig on the tunnel hill. I reached the start finish in about 27 minutes and change. The second lap went quick. The legs were warm, but not spent. I was able to hold higher tempo. The Box Hill went well. I was out of the saddle most of the time. doing between 3.5 and 4.5 Watts/kg. I was near my limit, but was able to keep the high tempo going, all the way to the summit. I reached the summit in about 7 minutes and change. Putting in a convincing negative split. I made my way back to town. Putting in a dig on the tunnel hill. I reached the start finish in under 26 minutes. Posting a negative split on the loop. So, mission accomplished. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. The music and Zwift helped tons. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some knee soreness that subsided after the second lap. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, there were over 15000 riders on Zwift, Watopia and London. Not including the other maps.
