It's the afternoon and the rain has let up. The streets have since dried up. I just didn't feel like riding in-doors. So, I suited up the full kit and headed out. It was in the 40's, winds from the North West. The legs felt good from the start. The morale was good. The miles went quick, today. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. Banducci was less traffic mitigation. I was able to keep a steady pace. Out of the saddle, most of the time. The Alpine Forest was enjoyable. Minimal traffic. I was listening to my music. Before I knew it, I made it to the first of the speed bumps. The HR was around 150, so I was pushing it a bit. I made it to Lemans, and had a few moments to recoup. I put it in my smallest gear to get up the following, quick riser. I made it around the backside of the Alpine Forest. In my mind, I was thinking, that the remainder of the ride would be mostly downhill. I headed up Banducci, to the summit. I pulled over for a few moments. I think I checked the battery on the GoPro. It had enough charge to make it to the base. I turned around and headed back, after letting traffic by. The downhill was fun. Doing the tuck. Not getting knocked around from the wind. From there, it was mostly fun and games, back home. Concentration was good. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked great. Nutrition was good. No hunger pains. I drank about 2/3rds of my Gatorade. Other notes, I only saw a walker, or two. No cyclists.
