This is the first ride I've done since last week's surgery. I was out of commission for about 4 days after the recent surgery. it took another day or two to be able to ride my bike on the trainer. I decided to do a flat ride, with minimal climbing. This route was perfect. It's a bit more than 10 miles and had less than 100 feet of climbing. The legs felt suprisingly good, all things considered. I'm still sore on the right side, and the GI still exhibits some nausea. I tried to keep the HR under 140 BPM. The duration was about what I figured. Around 30-ish minutes. I kept a steady tempo. Out of the saddle to stretch the legs. And in the saddle, to spin. The HR was between 120-140. The miles went quick. Concentration was good. Ailments. Right side of the body, a bit of nausea. My right tarsal bones are a bit sore. Not sure what's going on there. It feels much better, now. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition. No hunger pains. I drank about 1/4 of my Gatorade. A sip or two of water. Other notes, there were about 3000 riders today.
