Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I was a bit reluctant to get out of bed to go for an early ride. Partially, because I wanted to make a phone call to schedule a consultation with a surgeon. It turns out that they called me before 9AM. That gave me a window of opportunity to beat the heat and get out and ride. So, I did. The weather was about 80-ish. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci wall was tough. Some traffic mitigation. I was at near limit over the top. (Being that it was hot and into a headwind). I made it to the summit and took a few moments rest. Checked the GoPro battery and smartphone signal. Shortly after, I headed downhill. I exceeded 42 MPH on the downhill with my tuck. The trek to SS was quick. I was doing over 18MPH most of the way. The wind was somewhat mild. I was keeping track of time. Doing the numbers. When I reached the backside of SS, I calculated that I was on par for a 1 hour to the tunnel ride. I got there in about 58 minutes and change. I made my way around SS and headed back on Banducci. The trek through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo. I reached Boss Hogs in about 1:19-ish. So, I hardly gave up any time from the tunnel. I pulled over before the last climb to swap out GoPro batteries. The last climb went well. No red-lining, but I kept the tempo steady. Keeping the momentum going, over the top. From there, I recovered and made my way to Route 202. There was no traffic in my lane. So, no traffic mitigation, today. After making it to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. I tried to keep the tempo going, as I was on pretty good time. Concentration was good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, I think I had a soreness somewhere, but never escalated and eventually went away. Probably the knees. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger pains. I drank most of my sport drink, and water. Other notes, there were no cyclists today.
