The weather is getting cooler. Just warm enough to go without covering my arms. The legs felt pretty good to start. The cool air definitely helped. The wind was from the north west. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. The descent was mostly soft-pedaling and putting in two digs over the risers. I stopped twice to take photos of the train passing through. I made it to the base, no stopping. I headed back just as quick. The body responded well. I kept the tempo steady. Out of the saddle a lot. I stopped once at the Loop monument to take photos of the train making its way around the loop. The legs felt good, so I kept going at the same tempo. No heroics. I made it to the summit in good time. Concentration was good. Few lapses. The music kept me company. Balance and form was good. Ailments. Next to none. The left leg didn't bother me, today. Maybe some mild hand soreness. Gear worked well. No issues. Although, the compact pump broke off, just as I was going to make a left turn onto Weston. I think I have another mount on the mountain bike. Will likely start shopping for another. Nutrition was good. No hunger pains. I went through about half my Gatorade and some water. Other notes, there were no tourists at the Loop, as I was descending. But there was a few when I was on my way back.
