This ride starts from boat launch just outside Pacific City on Broten Rd. The route goes through Pacific City via Broten Rd. to the bridge at Ferry St. Cross the bridge and continue for about 1/2 mile to the start of Sandlake Rd. There is a 0.7 mile gradual climb and a 2 mile gradual descent to the jct. of Cape Kiwanda Rd. The route goes right to stay on Sandlake Rd and continues through Tierra Del Mar, Sitka Sedge and other 5 miles to the Cape Lookout Rd. jct. The route turns right to stay on Sandlake Road for a 1.5 mile hill climb. The highway 101 jct is 2.5 miles after the summit. The route then goes south on 101 for 10 miles to Cloverdale. Turn right at Bridge St toward Woods. This is a 4.75 mile rough section that ends back at the Sandlake Rd jct. There are two options here: 1) turn left and return to the start or 2) climb the 0.7 mile hill again and continue to the Cape Kiwanda Rd jct. Turn left here, ride through Cape Kiwanda and continue 2.5 miles to Pacific City and the start.
