Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was warm. In the mid to upper 80's, winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit + saddle patch. I started the GPS a few minutes late. So, the milage is off by about 1/2 mile or so. My body felt good today. I started out conservative, knowing that I had a long day ahead. I made it to Route 202 in average time. On my way there, somehow a small piece of gravel got inside my left shoe. I stopped briefly to remove it. After that, I commenced riding to Willow Springs. I did average tempo. I noticed that my balance was off today. I couldn't put my finger on it. I did raise my saddle by about 1/4 inch or so on the previous ride. Something about my right leg was off. The odd thing was that my body did not complain. No serious soreness in the joints, back, or hips. Very odd. It was like this for the majority of the ride. Just so slightly off, and I put some thinking into it. I can only guess that it's saddle rotation, seat height or cleat position. That aside, I had a good ride. I was able to gauge my water intake and feeding stop(s). I did pretty much what I figured, except the feeding. I was planning on feeding on the Banducci summit. But I didn't because I was feeling good. I ended up stopping at the quickie mart in SS. Filled bottles and did the rest of my ride. Today's ride was all about moderate tempo and controlling myself as to avoid burning too many matches early in the ride. The only place I picked up the pace was on the Cummings Valley on the return. I stopped at the base of the last climb. I fed and continued. It took about 3 to 5 minutes for my body to warm up. Something to note for longer rides with stops. My body was fresh for the majority of the ride. No doubt, the moderate pace that I held, with no digs. My concentration was spot on. Very few lapses and gremlins. Balance and form was a bit odd. I just couldn't hook up into a dialed in mode. More investigating on this for sure! Ailments were next to none. I think that was the most successful part of the ride. Gear is working well, although I fumbled the Gopro by not recording after rest stops. I have to find a way to set the camera into a one button press, record mode. I'll have to practice that on the next few rides. Other notes, there were no other cyclists today. I'm thinking 90% are either going early in the morning, or later in the day, after 4 or 5pm.
Other notes, I noticed that my HR was higher than normal. Not in a bad sense, I felt more comfortable at higher HR. One thing that may contribute to this is that I've been decreasing my Clonazepam. I haven't been taking it for the past 3 days.
