I did a late afternoon ride today. I was debating on what ride to do. My initial plan was to do Keene, but I wanted to give my body a break. I ended up doing the Tour de Teh (R) route. I was a little sluggish at the start. It took me till the end of OTR to get fully warmed up. I was able to do faster tempo than the previous ride due to the shorter distance. I pushed it over the top of the Banducci wall, did moderate tempo to the summit. I felt good, no ailments. The descent was fun and games. I did moderate tempo across the valley, some greater efforts here and there. I increased the tempo for the last climb. I stopped at in the middle to take some photos of the local wildlife. The remainder was no less than moderate and I pushed it over the top. I had some fun on the way back. Able to put in a modest sprint to OTR, on Route 202. I think I hit 38 MPH. From that point, it was the usual descent. Concentration was good for the most part, some minor lapses, I think I got too comfortable in some areas of the ride. Ailments were next to none. My saddle soreness has diminished significantly. I'm still using patches and it seems to be working. Balance and form is still coming along, not great today though. I'm still trying to dial it in as best I can. Gear is working well. I'm getting a new saddle bag, hopefully it will fit better than the one I have now. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
