It's a great day for a ride! I decided on Keene. The legs were a bit heavy to start. I reached the summit of the descent in good average time. I'm at 127 lbs now. I was curious how the climb would feel. I made my way down the mountain. I stopped two times to take photos of the passing train. As I was making my way down the lower slopes, the train was parallel to me, going about the same speed. I should have got it on the video. I reached the base in about 29 minutes or so. Not too bad for taking it easy. I headed back without stopping. No taking clothes off. The legs felt pretty good at this time. I felt light, I wasn't breathing excessive. I was in my limits the entire time. I had some stuff to think about, so the miles went fast. The morale kept getting better as I was making my way through the land marks. Given that I haven't been riding much (since the surgery), I'd say the body is responding very well. I can feel soreness near the stitches, but it wasn't chafing or stretching . I was comfortable enough for the duration of the ride. I was listening to my music, guessing where I'd like to be after the song ended. Definitely a positive distraction. Concentration was good. The good morale helped. Balance and form was good, not great. Ailments, some left hand numbness during the last mile or two on the climb. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. I had most of my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, I saw one cyclist and a bunch of people at the Loop Monument. There were passing trains, so the tourists were in for a treat!
