It's a great day for a ride. I wish I could have gotten up earlier from my nap. Nevertheless, the weather is great! In the upper 50's, mild winds from the South East. I decided to go to the end of OTR and see what the knees say when I get there. I felt pretty good to start. Making it to the end of OTR in good average time. When I got there, I decided to head up the Alpine Forest. The Banducci Wall went quick. There was minimal traffic mitigation. After reaching Arosa, I was able to put it in a small gear and let my climbing legs be found. The miles went fast. There were some local dogs that started to chase me. They were benign and just having fun. In fact, I was taunting them in a friendly way. They seemed be enjoying the moment. After that happened, I was just a few hundred yards from the first set of speed bumps. They went fast. I wasn't red-lining it. So, I had some matches saved. I made my way around the backside, having fun on the dips. From there, I headed up to the summit of Banducci. I took a few moments rest. The GoPro battery was at 52%. Plenty to get me home. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. There was a headwind on the way down. I felt no need to push it. So, I relaxed most of the way down. After making it back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. The morale was very good at this point. Concentration was good. Minimal lapses. I had a few things to think about. Ailments, still the right knee, but it seems to be doing much better. I think my left knee was hinting on soreness, but never escalated. Balance and form was good. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. I had most of my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist as I was making my way back home on Country Club.
