Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It's clear skies but high winds from the South East. I decided to do the Tour de Teh (R) route today. I wore the winter kit today. It wasn't that cold, but the wind chill factor dictated that I should wear just a bit more than usual. Suffice it to say, I was warm inside. The legs felt good from the start. The knees weren't complaining too much, either. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci climb was fun. I had a nice tailwind most of the time. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments rest, let traffic by, then headed downhill. I was cautious on the downhill given the win conditions. When I reached the last downhill section, I let off the brakes and tucked. Reaching over 42 MPH. I probably could have reached 50 if I let go sooner. Not worth the risk, though. The return trip was the worst part of the ride. I could hardly hold 10 MPH going into the wind. It felt like a death march. But, I've done this many times before. So, it was mostly a game of patience and micro managing my effort. I didn't bother checking the time at Boss Hogs. After reaching the last climb, I was feeling a bit better in the morale. There was shelter from the hill sides. So, the wind was diminished a bit. I made it to the summit and pulled over to check the GoPro battery. It needed to be swapped, so that's what I did. From there, I hopped back on the bike, and made my way to Route 202. I was crawling along. I was in the gutter letting traffic by. I made it safe to OTR. From there, I was able to relax a bit and let the legs recover. I was able to push it going over Mariposa. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. The morale was high from the start and I just wanted to get out and ride since my knees are doing better. Balance and form was good. I think I have to adjust the rotation of the saddle to the right. Still trying to dial it in. Gear worked perfect. Ailments, still some knee soreness. I was careful not to agitate it any more than the ride was already doing. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had most of my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, I saw just one cyclist as I was making a right turn on Country Club.
