Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather has let up a bit. I decided to head out to the Alpine Forest. It was in the 40's, winds from the North East. I wore the standard winter kit with knee warmers instead of leg warmers. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. There was some traffic mitigation on the Banducci Wall. I was feeling a bit better when I reached the Arosa. I was listening to my music. Guessing how many songs it would take to get to the next landmark. It helped. I made it to the summit without red-lining it. I made my way around the backside and then up to the summit of Banudcci. (The descents off the Alpine Forest was fun). After making it to the summit, I pulled over to take a few moments of rest. The GoPro battery was at 51%. I let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. Descending off the wall was fun. After making it to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was so so. A bit on the impatient side. Not so motivated in this cold windy weather. The music helped get me by. Ailments were minimal. I had mild right upper knee pains when climbing up Arosa. I was able to mitigate it by shifting into an easier gear and saddle position. It eventually went away. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I think I had about half my Gatorade. No water.
